BMW Charity Pro-Am announces 2019 charities.

The BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by Synnex Corp. has chosen the four local charities to benefit from the annual golf event in June.

The charities are Mobile Meals of Spartanburg, Prisma Health Children's Hospital-Upstate, Roper Mountain Science Center and The Cliffs Residents Outreach. Since 2001, the tournament has donated more than $13 million to numerous charities across the Upstate, according to a news release.

In addition to the four featured charities, other local charities are supported through the Birdies for Charity program. Donors can make a one-time donation or can pledge one cent or more per birdie.

"This year marks the 25th anniversary of production of BMW automobiles in Upstate South Carolina for the global market, so it is an exciting time for us, the tournament and its beneficiaries," Max Metcalf, secretary/treasurer of the event, said in the release.
