BlueCross BlueShield offering Medicare classes.

BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is holding Medicare information sessions every Monday at its retail center locations in Columbia, Greenville and Mount Pleasant.

The hour-long sessions are available in the morning and afternoon.

"The last time there was a change to the standardized Medigap plans was 2010," Terry Peace, BlueCross senior vice president, said in a news release. "They are changing again starting January 1, 2020. Medicare is confusing and there is more confusion now due to these changes."

The company's mobile retail center, staffed with agents equipped to answer Medicare questions and register new members, will also make stops at several S.C. locations in the next two months.
