Welcome to Business Law News (BLN) 2019 Issue 2! We address a variety of topics in this issue

• We present Part 2 of Phillip Neiman's article, Settlement Negotiation Ethics for Attorney-Advocates under California's New (2018) Rules of Professional Conduct. (If you missed Part 1, it appeared in 2018 Issue 4.)
• We present an excerpt from the compendium of commercial law developments in 2017-2018 prepared by Steve Weise, Teresa Wilton Harmon, John F. Hilson, Stephen L. Sepinuck, Edwin E. Smith, and Lynn Soukup. (We published the Table of Contents in the 2019 Annual Review issue; this Issue's excerpt discusses new case law addressing priority of security interests.)
• We present The ABC's of Employment: Sports Industry Misclassification Issues in the Era of Dynamex, by Adam Sloustcher and Jason Fischbein, addressing the demarcation between "employee" and "independent contractor" in the sports industry.
• We present my own article, The Dangerous Allure of Form Loan Documents, pointing out some of the matters to which borrowers and their counsel should pay special attention when reviewing and negotiating loan documents presented to them as forms.
