Funny man Jack Black, who prays a rock star turned substitute teacher in this fall's School of Rock, had no trouble getting into character. Known for his rotes in Shallow Hal and Orange County, Black also is part of the rock group Tenacious D. UPFRONT asked Black about high school and substitutes.

How did you treat substitute teachers?

I just always remember it was like a fun holiday off ... It just felt like, "Oh, this isn't for real. I don't have to do anything, really!"

Did you like school?

I was not a very good student I have to be honest with you.
