CheckFree Corp.'s new e-mail bill-paying service will permit you to send a bill, and collect payments, from customers through their own private e-mail accounts. Customers may also exchange funds with each other.

Through CheckFree WebPay, a financial institution can receive a consumer bill and send an e-mail containing a bill summary and a hyperlink to the customer. The consumer clicks "pay," his identity is authenticated at the financial institution, and the transaction is validated.
