Big Daddy Kane to headline 2019 festival.

Big Daddy Kane will headline the 2019 World Famous Hip-Hop Family Day, a four-day event capped by a festival on April 13 on Main Street in downtown Columbia. The seventh annual festival is expected to draw more than 16,000 people and is sponsored by Love, Peace & Hip-Hop, the city of Columbia and WellCare Healthy Connections.

Kane is a Grammy-winning artist who began his career as a New York battle rapper before joining Juice Crew with fellow rappers Marley Marl and Biz Markie. His 1988 debut album, "Love Live the Kane," featured the hits "Ain't No Half Steppin" and "Raw."
