After a stint in mortgage consulting, Jason Walsh "was looking to start up a different career," and he certainly succeeded in doing that. Teaming with Doug Walsh, his brother, and college pal (and award-winning Indy Car fabricator) Mike Ferguson, Jason launched Big Chicken Barstools in late 2001. The product: wheeled barstools with a 6.5-horsepower Briggs & Stratton motor and a top speed of about 40 miles an hour. It took the trio seven months to sell their first unit, but they've moved around 225 more in the three years since.
