Primary Threats to Species
Primary threats to 1,421 species, subspecies, and distinct population segments listed under the ESA (621 animal and 800 plant listing units).
Data ref‌lect threats identif‌ied in recovery plans for all species that had recovery plans approved as of January 2010 (for 528 animals and
645 plants) and threats identif‌ied by NatureServe (for the remainder).
Trends in Recovery Status
Trends in recovery status for 1,292 listed species, based on a summation of trends reported in 2-year status updates submitted by the
Services to Congress from 1990 to 2010.
