Best Cities for Your Summer "Vaxcation".

PositionVACCINATION

You are vaccinated for COVID-19 and ready to travel, but which cities offer the most bang for your buck while keeping you safe? Lawn-Starter has ranked the "Best Cities for Your Summer Vaxcation," comparing the 200 biggest U.S. cities based on 30 indicators of a fun (and safe) excursion--from the cost of a cab ride to the average Airbnb rate to the number of attractions, and, of course, each city's vaccination rate.

The top 10, starting at No. 1, are San Francisco, Calif.; Portland, Ore.; Providence, R.I..; Garden Grove, Calif.; Washington, D.C.; Honolulu, Hawaii; Jersey City, N.J.; Seattle, Wash.; Las Vegas, Nev.; and New Orleans, La.

The Golden City tops the ranking of the best cities for good reason: San Francisco is the No. 1 city for having fun, offering the second-highest number of attractions and the most-vibrant nightlife. The Bay City is fully open with no holds barred but for "mega events." So, feel free to ditch the mask--except to get there and get around on public transit-but pack a sweatshirt or windbreak-er. As Mark Twain once said, 'The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco."
