With both the National Football League and National Collegiate Athletic Association hitting the gridiron for games this month, the personal-finance website WalletHub has released its report on 2018's Best & Worst Cities for Football Fans. It compares more than 240 U.S. cities. The data set ranges from number of NFL and college football teams to average ticket prices.

The 10 best cities for football fans, starting at No. 1, are Green Bay, Wis.; Pittsburgh, Pa.; Dallas, Texas; Boston, Mass.; New York; Los Angeles, Calif.; Glendale, Ariz.; Philadelphia, Pa.; Oakland, Calif.; and Cincinnati, Ohio.

The 10 worst cities, beginning at the bottom, are Jackson, Miss.; Syracuse, N.Y.; Davidson, N.C.; Pine Bluff, Ark.; Valparaiso, Ind.; Cape Girardeau, Mo.; East Hartford, Conn.; West Lafayette, Ind.; New Britain, Conn.; and Logan, Utah.
