While it seems like only yesterday that the Golden State Warriors won yet another championship, believe it or not NBA training camps open this month in preparation for the upcoming season, one in which the league is allowing teams to sell ad space on uniforms, a practice that likely will generate $100,000,000-$150,000,000 in yearly revenue. Also, NBA clubs no longer will have home-and-away jerseys; instead, each squad will have four different uniforms to choose from.

To get in on the "hoop"-la, the personal-finance website WalletHub has released its report on 2017's Best & Worst Cities for Basketball Fans. To find the best cities for professional" and college-basketball enthusiasts, analysts compared 293 of the largest cities across 17 key metrics, ranging from the performance level of each city's NBA and NCAA Division 1 cage teams to ticket prices to stadium accessibility.

The 10 best cities, starting at No. 1, are Los Angeles, Calif.; Boston, Mass.; Oakland, Calif.; San Antonio, Texas; Salt Lake City, Utah; Oklahoma City, Okla.; Cleveland, Ohio; Miami, Fla.; Chicago, Ill.; and Orlando, Fla.
