Benedict College receives share of $3 million grant.

Benedict College is one of 15 historically Black college and universities to receive a share of $3 million in Propel Impact grants, part of Apple's nationwide investment in racial equity and justice and its support of The Propel Center, a global HBCU innovation center.

The center recently selected the grant recipients, which submitted proposals centered around agritech and artis and entertainment initiatives.

Benedict will use its funding to support a project bringing together the college's music industry, mass communication and studio art programs to create a student graphic novel focused on the transformative learning experiences of HBCU students with career interests in music, video and visual arts.
