Things have been a little strange around Louisville (Ky.) Slugger Museum & Factory--in a good way. The museum and Ripley's have teamed up to create the exhibition, "Ripley's Believe It or Not! Oddball," showcasing Ripley's bizarre baseball treasures and other interesting findings, and marking the first time Ripley's has done a special exhibition with a baseball theme.

"The entertainment factor is off-the-charts with this amazing show," says Anne Jewell, vice president and executive director of Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory. "Ripley's spin on baseball is full of fun and surprises. We're thrilled to collaborate on this first-of-its-kind exhibition with one of the greatest icons In the world of entertainment."

Themes explored in "Oddball" include Robert Ripley's lifelong passion for the sport, quirky baseball oddities, bizarre ballpark food, and team-focused treasures. More than 100 items are on display, including:

The colorful and exotic outfit looks more like Arabian Nights attire than baseball garb. Still, the Babe managed to hit a home run while wearing the uniform on display.

* Yankee Stadium model made from thousands of toothpicks form a unique sculpture of the House that Ruth Built, which greets guests as they enter the exhibition.

* Hank Aaron sculpture made from Oh Henry! candy bars. This piece of original pop-art was commissioned for "Oddball." Hammerin' Hank--who surpassed Ruth on the career home run chart in 1974--and his sweet swing are immortalized in melted chocolate and candy wrappers encased within this playful, interactive work of art.

* "Nuts About Jennifer Lawrence" and "Crazy for Ketchup & Mustard Tom Cruise." The Ballpark Food section is anchored by two Hollywood superstars with Louisville connections (Lawrence was born there in 1990 and Cruise's parents got married there in 1957). More than 10,000 peanuts were used to produce a portrait--created specifically for this show--of the Academy Award-winning Lawrence, as well as a "painting" of Cruise made from ketchup and mustard that smells like a hot dog at the ballpark.

All 30 big league teams are represented with a Ripley's twist. A life-size sculpture of Johnny Depp as Capt. Jack Sparrow from the "Pirates of the Caribbean" film series--made from seashells--represents the...
