Bank of American Fork Receives State Award for Age-friendly Banking.

American Fork The UTAH DIVISION OF AGING AND ADULT SERVICES presented BANK OF AMERICAN FORK with the first-ever Award for Age-friendly Banking, in recognition of the bank's industry-leading work in creating a culture, and products and services that protect seniors.

Nels Holmgren, director of the Utah Division of Aging & Adult Services and Jilenne Gunther, legal services developer for the division, presented the award to Bank of American Fork CEO Richard Beard.

"The products the bank offers provide such peace of mind for both seniors, as well as the family members who care for them. Our office can do a lot to protect seniors, but there are limits to things that government can and should do."

says Holmgren.

Gunther has been a passionate advocate for elder rights. Based on her work implementing age-friendly banking practices, Gunther has been recruited by AARP to be a senior strategic policy advisor for the organization, where she will work on age-friendly banking practices on a national level.
