The Guardian Antiballistic Replacement Door Skin (GARDS) is a lightweight flexible panel, aimed at protecting occupants of unarmored vehicles, such as Humvee military trucks.
The panel, developed by U.S. Global Nanospace, of Carson City, Nev., can be installed in the field. It protects against small arms fire, projectiles, fragmentation and shrapnel.
