Some 60,000 grocery workers are going back to their jobs after more than four months on strike in Southern California. Members of the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) struck at three large supermarket chains. The union preserved health care benefits for current workers but was unable to defeat the chains' demands for a two-tier wage system and increased health care costs for future workers.
