Dear Teachers,

Welcome back! And if you're a new subscriber, welcome to Upfront! We hope you had a rejuvenating summer break. We've been hard at work, talking with teachers around the nation to see what's on your minds. Our goal, as always, is making sure Upfront remains a must-have magazine for the high school classroom. Thanks to your feedback, we're offering some exciting new resources for 2015-16. Here are just some of the things you can expect to see this fall:

* A completely reimagined website that's easy to navigate and gives you quick access to all the resources you need to complement the print magazine.

* Meatier quizzes to help prepare students for high-stakes tests like PARCC, Smarter Balanced, and the "new SAT," set to roll out in 2016. Each quiz now has two multiple-choice sections--one assessing reading comprehension and one requiring students to deeply analyze the text--as well as two open-ended questions.
