Beaumont Hospitals has been named to the 2009 InformationWeek 500, an annual listing of the nation's most innovative users of business technology. InformationWeek has identified and honored the nation's most innovative users of information technology with its annual 500 listing for 21 years. It also tracks the technology. strategies, investments and administrative practices of America's best-known companies. Top winners have included. Conway, National Semiconductor, Kimberly-Clark, Hilton Hotels and Unum. The InformationWeek 500 rankings are unique among corporate rankings spotlighting the power of innovation in information technology, rather than simply identifying the biggest IT spenders.

Pepper Hamilton has achieved a 100 percent rating on The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation's Corporate Equality Index for 2010. The HRC report shows that more law firms than ever are providing vital benefits and protections for their lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) attorneys and staff. In this year's report, an unprecedented 88 law firms achieved 100 percent ratings, eclipsing every other industry represented in the annual survey. Twenty-eight additional firms earned ratings of 80 percent or more. The Corporate Equality Index 2010 surveyed a total of 127 law firms, all but three of which are ranked among The American Lawyer's 200 highest-grossing law firms. The full report is available at The Corporate Equality Index 2010 report shows impressive gains in policies and protections across the board. In particular, transgender workers have made major gains since the report was first published in 2002. Robert E. Justin Klimko has been named the recipient of the Stephen H. Schulman Outstanding Business Lawyer Award for 2009. The award is presented annually by the Business Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan. Klimko, a Butzel Long (SILVER) shareholder, was presented with the honor at the Sheraton Detroit Novi following the Business Law Section's Annual Meeting The award is based on career achievements and contributions to the Michigan Business Bar, said Eric Lark, former Chairman of the Business Law Section, a co-chair of the Schulman Award Selection Committee and a senior partner...
