Avianca has introduced a new wireless in-flight entertainment application for mobile devices, on its fleet of Airbus A318 aircraft, according to a report by Finance Colombia. The platform will allow passengers to access a wide selection of films and TV shows, music and the flight map with the location, remaining flight time and more in real time.
To use the application, passengers can download Avianca Entertainment before boarding and once on-board, verify the device is on Airplane Mode before activating the Wi-FI connection and connecting to the Avianca network.
Finance Colombia reported that the system is currently available on nine aircraft and will be installed within 10 Airbus A320 aircraft in the near future.
