In Vol. 55, No. 4 (December 2002): pp. 874-875, the first paragraph under RESULTS should read:
RESULTS
Table 3 shows ordered logit analysis results with all hypothesized predictors. Although issue type, as expected, is an impor-
tant predictor of governmental action, the results for the measure of community culture/demand are disappointing. White the
coefficients for church membership (for decency incidents) and gay prevalence (for gay incidents) are in the hypothesized
direction and significant or near significant, the index of unconventional culture, the interaction term designating the impact
of unconventionalism contingent on issue type, and the indicator of community demand specific to abortion incidents are all
statistically insignificant. The table suggests a divergence in the direct effects of the . . . .
