Austin Chapter hosts a special guest.

On October 24, 2012, the Austin Chapter held its regular lunch meeting at Dell Computers and had a very special guest in attendance--Tim McCormally. Not since Mike Murphy attended our chapter charter ceremony in September 2000 has the Austin Chapter been visited by a member of TEI's staff. Tim was eager to visit our chapter before he left TEI at the end of 2012 and we were happy to have him visit us. Tim was introduced to the group and said a few words on the goals and benefits of TEI to its members.

During the meeting, we announced that our $1,500 John O'Gorman Memorial Austin TEI Scholarship was rewarded to Lillian Wren at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Lillian is a graduate student in the MPA program, a member of Beta Alpha Psi and provides foster care for puppies and kittens. A thank you letter from Lillian for the scholarship was passed around for the meeting attendees.
