1-23 Tours of the Port of Anchorage

Bring the family and enjoy a tour of the Port that brings 90 percent of the goods to 80 percent of Alaska's population. Free bus tours of the Port of Anchorage will be offered every Sunday in August, beginning at 11:00 a.m. and running every half hour to 3:00 p.m. The tours depart from the Alaska Railroad corporate office located at 327 West Ship Creek Avenue. The tour takes approximately 1 hour and includes a drive through the Port of Anchorage to view the expansion project now in progress and a stop at the Port offices for a visit to the observation deck to view ships loading and off-loading cargo bound for Anchorage and the rest of Alaska.
