Position:National Book Club Conference

Black Issues Book Review presents the National Book Club Conference--Chicago to be held on Friday and Saturday, August 24 and 25, 2007, at the Intercontinental Hotel in downtown Chicago.

The unique event is modeled after the hugely successful NBCC annual gathering in Atlanta and will give black book enthusiasts an opportunity to exchange ideas with authors and other book club members from across the country.

During NBCC-Chicago, some of the nation's leading African American authors will directly engage in dialogue with readers about their work. These stimulating breakout sessions will be followed by book signings.

This regional National Book Club Conference is a one-of-a-kind event that you won't want to miss. Come join the hundreds that will gather in the heart of downtown at one of Chicago's most luxurious hotels to share their views on African American literature.

Among the authors confirmed for the conference are Tina McEIroy Ansa, Mary Morrison, Virginia DeBerry and Donna Grant.
