I appreciate the comments made by Ronald Marley, CPA, from Studio City [in the August issue of California CPA]. He made some excellent points of CPAs being on the audit committee, board and CFO. However, I would feel just as comfortable in having these positions sprinkled with "fraud detectors" as professionally qualified with certified internal auditors, certified fraud examiners and so forth.
