Attorney Robert C. Menard has appealed a referee's recommendation that his license to practice law in Wisconsin be revoked; that he be ordered to make restitution to a number of clients; and that he be ordered to pay the full costs of this proceeding, which are $18,191.42 as of October 25, 2019. Attorney Menard stipulated to 30 counts of misconduct and the only disputed issue left for the referee to decide was the appropriate sanction.
