Fewer U.S. workers are satisfied with health care and retirement benefits, as well as career prospects, at their present employer compared to three years earlier, according to Sibson Consulting's latest Rewards of Work survey.

"The reasons for this change include rising health care costs, concerns about financial well-being in retirement, continued cost and risk-shifting to employees and their dependents, and perceptions of stalled careers," says John Asencio, senior vice president at Sibson Consulting. "These factors are taking their toll on employee attitudes about the value they get from their work."
