The 2013-2014 year represented the seventh successful year of the scholarship program for the TEI Atlanta Chapter and the first year with Chiquita C. Edwards as the Chair of the Scholarship Committee. During this year, three scholarships in the amount of $1,500 each were awarded to students from colleges and universities with tax and/or accounting programs within the metropolitan Atlanta area. The first scholarship was presented to Melissa Henderson, a student at Mercer University, at the March 2014 chapter meeting. The second scholarship was presented to Jeffrey Townsend, a student at Kennesaw State University, at the April 2014 chapter meeting.
