Atlanta Chapter presents scholarships.

At its March 20, 2012, meeting, Atlanta Chapter President Winifer Tong of United Parcel Service Inc. and Scholarship Committee Chair Deborah Digby of The Coca-Cola Company presented two $1,500 scholarships. The first scholarship recipient was Carl (Tony) Golden, a student at Oglethorpe University who is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Accompanying Mr. Golden were Chris Benton, Director of Accounting Studies at Oglethorpe, and Henry Zigtema, retired Ernst & Young partner and an Adjunct Professor at Oglethorpe.

The second scholarship was presented to Qiong Huang, a graduate student at Kennesaw State University who is pursuing a Master's degree in Accounting with a concentration in tax. This was the fifth consecutive year that the Atlanta Chapter has awarded scholarships to accounting students from local area colleges.
