On June 20, the Atlanta Chapter held a half-day state-and-local tax seminar. The seminar was presented by Jones Day and was held at the State Bar of Georgia Headquarters building in downtown Atlanta. The first topic of the morning was "National Trends & Recent Developments," which was presented by Carolyn Lee, John Allan, and Kirk Lyda. Among the subjects covered were cloud computing and the trend of states' adopting a single sales factor.

The next session, presented by Ken Smith and Mace Gunter, provided an overview of how to get the most of your tax credits, incentives, and net operating losses.
