Atlanta Chapter holds annual social and presents awards.

The Atlanta Chapter held its annual social on February 4 at the Intercontinental Hotel--Buckhead. The evening began with a reception and networking for chapter members and their guests, providing a great opportunity to socialize and catch up with peers.

This social hour was followed by a presentation from chapter president, Winifer Tong, who provided an update on the chapter and recognized several members for their time and service commitment to TEI. Susan Creel, Tax Director at AT&T, and Jack McNeese, Tax Director at UCB, were recognized for reaching a milestone this year--25 years of membership with TEI! During this span of time, Ms. Creel and Mr. McNeese have both served as presidents of the Atlanta Chapter.

Lynn Alexander, Tax Director of Heidelberg USA, was presented with a plaque and gavel for having served as 2010-2011 Chapter President. Dan Lockridge, Executive Director of Income Taxes at The Coca-Cola Company, was presented with a commemorative UPS edition of the board game Monopoly for having served both as a chapter president and as the chapter's representative on the Institute Board of Director for the last two years.

Finally, the Meritorious Chapter Service Award was presented to Robert Howren, Tax Director of Blue Linx Corporation, in recognition of outstanding service to the Atlanta Chapter. Mr. Howren has also been very active...
