Mark K. Vise, chief financial officer, Americas, for Intertek Inc., recently participated in the ExxonMobil Executive In Residence Program at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. This program is made possible by a grant from ExxonMobil Corp. to promote the involvement of alumni and non-alumni business executives in Lamar's College of Business, and enable faculty and students to draw upon the expertise of successful business executives.

Vise says that his lecture, Athletics and Business, Lessons Learned for a Long-Term Win, drew upon his lessons learned participating in sports. "Looking at business from a sports frame of mind can help you manage for long-term wins," he notes.
