The state's largest construction organization, the Associated General Contractors of Alaska (AGC), has recognized its top construction projects, safety programs and individuals at the association's annual conference in Anchorage Nov. 11 through 14.

The prestigious Hard Hat Award, given annually to an AGC member who has demonstrated exemplary service to the Association, the community and the industry, was awarded to two individuals--First National Bank Alaska Chairman Dan Cuddy and Alice Ebenal Ellingson, Ace General Contractors (Fairbanks). Ellingson was AGC Alaska president in 1984 and the first woman to be president of an AGC chapter nationwide.
