Heber--Private developer Dean K. Sellers announced plans to build a new high-end recreation community and resort on 8,366 acres in Heber Valley, with amenities including downhill skiing equivalent to Deer Valley. Unlike other recent big-money developments within the state, ASPEN will be built solely with private funds.

The 8,366-acre property, which includes some state and private lands, has four miles of Highway 40 road frontage on the north side and is 45 minutes from Salt Lake International Airport, 15 minutes from Heber's executive airport and close to Park City, Jordanelle Reservoir, Deer Creek, Sundance, and the Uintas.
