A laska Seafood Marketing Institute has reported that U.S. restaurants are hooked on the Alaska brand for seafood. Seafood items branded "Alaska" or "Alaskan" rank third among branded food items on menus of the top 500 restaurant chains in the United States.

"Branding Alaska seafood has been the number one goal of ASMI's food service and retail programs since 1996. The good news is that millions of people in the United States are seeing menus with our seafood products identified and branded," said Barbara Belkuap, ASMI executive director.
