A couple of years ago, CU alumnus Ashley Eyre, then taking classes on metal shop and welding, made a bracelet by flattening a piece of scrap aluminum, rolling it and drilling a series of holes in it. One led to another, then another, then another. "I just kept making them," said Eyre, who still makes her distinctive bracelets in the same metal shop from scrap aluminum.
