Army generals return to S.C. for ROTC training at Fort Jackson.

When 12 U.S. Army generals visit Fort Jackson in February for ROTC training, it will be a homecoming for half of them.

Three of the generals are native South Carolinians who graduated from state colleges, according to a news release from Fort Jackson. Two more earned their degrees at state schools, and one general lives in Greer.

The generals are commanding generals to directors of Army staff and represent commands as far away as Utah, Texas and Kansas.

They will be at Fort Jackson Feb. 7 for a day of mentorship and leadership development with about 300 ROTC cadets from 10 colleges and universities in North and South Carolina, according to the release. They will attend panel discussions, speed mentoring and presentations on various topics.

Cadets will attend from schools including Clemson University, The Citadel, Duke, Furman, North Carolina A&T and the University of South Carolina, and Wofford College.
