AN ISRAELI COMPANY with the cooperation of the Ministry of Defense there has developed 53-passenger armored bus. The vehicle is impervious to 7.62 mm armor piercing bullets, grenades and most improvised explosive devices, say officials. The manufacturer, Merkavim, is co-owned by Volvo Bus Corporation.
