Most of the sixteen papers collected in this volume were originally published in Acta Orientalia Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae between 1961 and 1991. Seven of them comprise Schutz's shorter studies on Armeno-Kipchak--i.e. the Kipchak Turkie texts in Armenian script from the Podolian Armenian colonies of Eastern Poland in the sixteenth and Seventeenth centuries. Included is the lengthy article on a document of 1640 from Lvov, originally published in Between the Danube and the Caucasus,... ed. G. Kara (Budapest, 1987). Excluded is Schutz's major work on the subject: An Armeno-Kipchak Chronicle on the Polish-Turkish Wars in 1620-1621...
