Arizona Chapter: what a year!(Chapter News)

All officers in Arizona Chapter want to share with everyone what a remarkable year we had! It seems that we were kicking on all cylinders--we increased our new membership by 15 percent; consistently had a great turnout during our regular meetings; increased community outreach (by granting four scholarships); and partnered with various practitioners to provide outstanding CPE opportunities for our members. Below we recap some of the highlights from this year:

* We started off the year with PricewaterhouseCoopers hosting a two-hour "Methods of Accounting" session at its office in downtown Phoenix.

* We had Sutherland Asbill & Brennan present a full-day seminar on SALT topics, styled "Taxation of the Cloud."

* We held our first ever "Tax School for TaxProfessionals"--presented by Ernst & Young and Deloitte Tax.

* "CTO Outreach"--where we invited Chief Tax Officers to a chapter-hosted dinner to reconnect and see how we could improve the member turnout, increase the membership, and get members involved.
