This is too much! Mashhood Rizvi and Edward W. Said both blame America for the terrible events of the Middle East (November issue). Nowhere is there mention of Saddam Hussein, who started it all, and could end it all if he lived up to the terms of the cease-fire. How dare they!

I deeply deplore some of the actions of America and Israel. They have done wrong on many occasions, but the terrible leaders of the Arabs have compounded the problems of the Middle East over the years.

There would be a State of Palestine now if the Arabs had accepted the U.N. partition, in many ways the best plan. After the '48 War, Jordan controlled the...
