The director-general of the National Archives of Australia has called on all Australian Public Service (APS) employees to better understand the importance of their records management (RM) responsibilities.

Ross Gibbs said good RM practices are integral to the everyday responsibilities of every government employee and suggested everyone participate in the Archives' training program, "Keep the Knowledge--Make a Record!"
