With regard to Paul Pillar's article on living with a nuclear Iran ["We Can Live with a Nuclear Iran," March/April 2012], back in 2009 I completed my graduate thesis with this as the exact topic, couched with the history of other "unacceptable" nuclear breakouts and their subsequent lack of apocalyptic outcomes. All the elements that drive a country to seek nuclear weapons are in play in the case of Iran, but no one seems to be doing any real analysis on the "so what?"
