In Kate Clinton's October column, she writes, "The current state of antiscience is fact-free and proud" ("The End of Science").

I, for one, am not surprised. Creationism is still being taught by 13 percent of our nation's high school teachers--and 60 percent of our high school biology teachers avoid the topic of evolution, according to a survey of 900 teachers in 2011 by Science magazine.
