Most FEI chapters have Academic Relations Committees in place to recognize academic excellence in student achievement by partnering with top area universities to identify the best and brightest accounting and finance students.

In efforts to help students continue their business/finance studies, Financial Executives Research Foundation and Financial Executive magazine contribute to these students' continuing studies. All Chapter Academic Award recipients receive a free, one-year electronic subscription to FERF research, as well as a digital subscription to Financial Executive.

In addition to the PDF copies of all newly released research reports, FERF provides the following to be distributed at the Chapter Academic Awards Night: a personalized award certificate with the chapter's name, hard copies of FERF reports and a letter with contact information for additional questions.
