Western Political Science
Association (WPSA)
2014 WPSA Meeting
The 2014 meeting of the WPSA will be held at the Sheraton
Seattle Hotel in Seattle, Washington, from April 17 to April
19. Victoria Farrar-Myers, University of Texas, Arlington,
is serving as program chair for this meeting. Christine
DiStefano, University of Washington, is the local arrange-
ments chair. Information about the conference, including
its theme and the list of section chairs, is available on the
WPSA website: www.wpsanet.org. In addition to the main
program, four workshops are being organized for
Wednesday, April 16. These workshops focus on Asian
Pacific Americans and Politics, Environmental Political
Theory, Latino Politics, and Feminist Theory.
Any committees, caucuses, subject matter sections, or
other groups wishing to schedule sessions or workshops
during the WPSA meetings and who have not already
done so should contact WPSA Associate Director, Elsa
Favila, as soon as possible at favilaej@csus.edu. In addi-
tion, if you are part of a research community that is inter-
ested in holding a meeting in the spring, we may still
be able to accommodate your group by coordinating a
conference within our conference. There is also the
opportunity to host receptions, business meetings, and
special events.
Preregistration and hotel information is available now
on the WPSA website. It is possible to preregister and pay
by credit card at this site: http://wpsanet.org.
The Western: The WPSA Newsletter
Contributions to the WPSA newsletter, The Western,
should be directed to either Stephen J. Stambough or
Valerie R. O’Regan, California State University, Fullerton.
They can be reached at sstambough@fullerton.edu and
voregan@fullerton.edusserve. The Western serves as a
forum for scholarly conversations on political science
teaching, research, and political events focused on but not
limited to the western region. The newsletter is available
online at http://wpsa.research.pdx.edu/pub/western.php.
Future WPSA Meetings

Vegas, Nevada, in 2015; the Manchester Hyatt in San
Diego, California, in 2016; the Fairmont Empress Hotel
