After a long and outstanding service to the Journal of Operations Management Professor Jack Meredith decided to

resign from his Editorship as from January 1, 2002. We are very grateful to Jack for his excellent work.

It is a pleasure to let you know that Professor Robert B. Hand®eld has agreed to take over the JOM Editorship.

Rob is the Bank of America University Distinguished Professor of Supply Chain Management in the College of

Management.

We have full con®dence that he will be able to maintain, and where possible, strengthen JOM's prominent
