AnMed Health announces salary reductions, furloughs.

AnMed Health today announced furloughs and salary reductions as the Anderson-based health care system deals with additional financial pressure caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Elective surgeries and physician office visits have decreased dramatically, leading to a significant loss of revenue," AnMed Health said in a news release. "At the same time, we are developing plans to meet surge demands for COVID-19 patients in the weeks ahead."

AnMed Health will temporarily reduce leadership and management salaries, according to a news release. In addition, the system will temporarily furlough some employees and make other staff adjustments in both non-clinical and clinical areas that have seen a decrease in demand for services.
