Members of ARECA, Alaska's Electric Association, recently honored the contributions of Hank Nikkels, a 24-year management employee of Anchorage Municipal Light & Power and a leader in Alaska's electric industry who died from cancer in February 2002. ARECA announced the creation of the ML&P Scholarship Fund, established in memory of Nikkels and administered by the ARECA Educational Foundation.
