After 18 months of robust expansion, the demand for vacant space in the Anchorage office market is slowing, according to midyear 1990 statistics compiled and analyzed by The Ronald W. Bunn and Co. According to Bunn, the slowdown in consumption may indicate that most immediate space needs have been met and may reflect an attitude of caution in the business community.

Information included in a midyear 1990 report by the appraisal and consulting firm notes:

* Occupancy of downtown Anchorage's 2.9 million square feet of office space was at 86.9 percent, up from 86.3 percent in January and from 85.3 percent one year ago.
