I greatly enjoyed your recent symposium ("American Jewish Literature: Dead or Alive?" January/February 2018). While there are many challenges facing the world of books, and Jewish literature in particular, the symposium showed the various factors pushing back against these forces. Some contributors pointed to the growing influence of religion and tradition, and others to the recent inclusion of voices from Jewish women, Jews of color and LGBTQ Jews.
